  • 3:30 AM, 40 hours/week, Tuesday through
Saturday Nursing Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:
The Nurse Supervisor will assure adequate staffing, orientation, training, communication and compliance with facility policies; administer work rules, regulations and disciplinary action when necessary; appraise employee performance and recommend change of status and wage adjustment for direct reports. The Shift Supervisor also functions in the role of charge nurse. Plan and implement safe and efficient nursing care in accordance with patient needs, staffing and cost containment guidelines. The Nurse Supervisor will monitor and oversee implementation of written Treatment Plan with staff. Monitor medical notes through chart review to assure safety standards of care are met. Assess status of select patients through personal interaction to determine level of care required as needed. Plan and assist in patient education. Monitor and evaluate educational tools and procedures utilized by staff. The Nurse Supervisor will review charts and/or audits to assure that all physician orders are transcribed and implemented appropriately. Participate in quality review of records and incident report findings. Develop and implement specific standards for units. Facilitate communication between staff and ADON. Monitor proper equipment and supplies. The Nurse Supervisor oversees team involved for proper patient charges. Serve on Nursing Work Groups. Standing:
up to several hours at a time, this may include walking, climbing steps, and descending steps.

must be able to ambulate throughout the assigned facilities on Caron properties.

up to several hours at a time for data entry into the computer or medical record documentation.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Currently state licensed as RN. Current CPR/First Aid training/certification. 1-3 years' experience in leading or supervising a team 2 years' continuous sobriety preferred if in recovery. Previous hospital/chemical dependency rehabilitation treatment program experience desired. Possess a working knowledge of addictions with age specific patient populations preferred. Working knowledge of personal computers and basic software Competencies /
Measurements:
Knowledge of commonly used withdrawal and psychotropic medications and their side effects
  • Competency exam. Knowledge of chemical dependency symptoms, process and treatment modalities
  • Competency exam. Ability to utilize medical equipment including EKG machine, glucometers, aerosol treatment machines, oxygen tanks, and suction machine
  • Annual training, proficiency demonstration Administer medications correctly and document thoroughly
  • Quality control occurrence report. Medical/Nursing documentation
  • Quality control of medical documentation according to predetermined standards. Perform diagnostic screening tests such as identified waived testing
