Position Summary The Floor Manager is responsible for executing exceptional guest experiences while leading front-of-house operations during service. This role ensures Origen's standard of polished, energetic, and immersive hospitality is consistently delivered, coordinating service flow, coaching staff, and maintaining a high-performance environment. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Excellence Lead the dining room with a strong presence, ensuring all guests receive attentive, elevated service Actively engage with guests to enhance the experience, resolve issues, and build relationships Oversee key touchpoints such as tableside presentations, special occasions, and VIP service Ensure the ambiance aligns with Origen's brand (music, lighting, pacing, energy) Floor Operations Manage real-time service flow across dining room, bar, patio, and rooftop areas Coordinate seating, reservations, and waitlist management to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction Partner with kitchen leadership to ensure proper timing, quality, and presentation of all dishes Monitor cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all FOH areas Team Leadership & Development Supervise, coach, and motivate FOH team members (servers, bartenders, hosts, support staff) Deliver pre-shift briefings aligned with nightly goals, menu features, and service standards Provide real-time feedback and hold staff accountable to performance expectations Support onboarding and training focused on menu knowledge, product storytelling, and hospitality standards Financial & Operational Performance Support daily financial goals including revenue, labor efficiency, and upselling initiatives Monitor service pacing to drive table turns without compromising experience Assist with inventory awareness (bar/FOH items, smallwares, guest supplies) Brand & Standards Execution Uphold Origen's luxury-meets-relaxed dining identity , balancing professionalism with approachability Ensure staff communicates menu items with confidence, emphasizing coastal Mexican flavors, premium ingredients, and shareable experiences [origendunedin.com] Reinforce consistency in presentation, timing, and guest interaction Qualifications 2-5+ years of restaurant management or floor leadership experience (upscale or fine dining preferred) Strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and high-touch service standards Proven ability to lead fast-paced, high-volume service while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) preferred Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays required) Key Competencies Hospitality-first mindset
