This includes managing the restaurant, bar, room service, and catering services to ensure exceptional guest experiences. The Food and Beverage Director plays a key role in driving revenue, maintaining high-quality service standards, and creating a memorable dining experience for guests. This is a working, "hands-on" position, and the hours may vary depending on business needs. General Requirements Develop and implement strategic plans for the food and beverage department in alignment with the hotel's overall goals and objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to create innovative and profitable menus. Maximize Company profitability with a target margin of 20%; establish and monitor financial controls; facilitate deposits and payroll to Company; develop and implement strategies to increase year over year sales. Design and update menus in collaboration with chefs, considering guest preferences and market trends. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations. Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations. Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates. Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported through proper channels. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures. Write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned. Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements as necessary. Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and monitor performance to ensure quality and costeffectiveness. Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff. Oversee the planning and execution of special events, banquets, and catering services. Work closely with the sales and marketing team to promote and maximize event bookings. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food and beverage areas. Negotiate contracts and monitor performance to ensure quality and costeffectiveness. Any other tasks/duties as requested by management. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in food and beverage management, with a successful track record in a similar role. Two or more years of related experience. Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. Ability to effectively and efficiently supervise staff, daily operations and resolve operational problems in compliance with policies and procedures. Ability to appropriately interview, hire, schedule, motivate, train, monitor, and address staff performance. Knowledge of and ability to follow proper food and beverage ordering, handling, transportation, and service. Familiarity with Aloha and/or Micros preferred. Attention to details, good organizational skills and efficient time management. Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, sometimes under pressure, while simultaneously handling competing and changing priorities.
