Job Description
Join the dynamic Iron Chef Jose Garces' team in partnership with CookUnity's Miami manufacturing hub! CookUnity is a revolutionary food platform that partners with renowned chefs to create exceptional, ready-to-eat meals. We seek an experienced and passionate Team Leader to oversee the production of exceptional Latin cuisine meals designed by Iron Chef Jose Garces, a world-renowned chef and culinary visionary known for his innovative approach to Latin cuisine and commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the meal production team in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This includes delegating tasks, coordinating schedules, and ensuring all team members work efficiently and effectively. Ensure consistent quality and adherence to Chef Garces' recipes and standards. This involves conducting regular quality control checks, providing feedback to team members, and taking corrective action as needed. Optimize production processes and efficiency. This requires identifying areas for improvement, implementing new procedures, and monitoring key performance indicators. Train and mentor team members. This includes providing on-the-job training, conducting performance reviews, and identifying opportunities for professional development. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. This involves enforcing safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and taking corrective action. Manage food and labor costs to ensure the team operates within budget. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure recipes are executed correctly and consistently. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including management, production workers, and other departments. Solve problems quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions to production.Qualifications:
Executive Sous Chef experience or higher, OR Culinary leadership experience in high-volume food manufacturing, OR Management-level experience in high-volume catering. Strong knowledge of Latin cuisine. This includes understanding traditional ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles. Excellent leadership and communication skills. This consists of motivating and inspiring team members, providing clear and concise instructions, and resolving conflicts effectively. ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are strongly preferred.Benefits:
