Hilton Marco Island Resort and Spa is currently seeking a dynamic Kitchen Supervisor to join the best culinary team on Marco Island! About the
Role:
The Kitchen Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen activities, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene, and managing kitchen staff to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. The Kitchen Supervisor coordinates with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel to optimize workflow and ensure timely preparation and presentation of meals. Additionally, this role involves inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with health regulations and company policies. Ultimately, the Kitchen Supervisor contributes to customer satisfaction by fostering a productive, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory role. Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in food safety or culinary arts. Experience with inventory management and cost control in a kitchen setting. Familiarity with accommodation and food service industry standards. Leadership training or management experience in hospitality. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high culinary standards. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to minimize waste. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff performance to promote professional development. Collaborate with management and front-of-house teams to meet customer expectations and resolve any issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.

The Kitchen Supervisor utilizes leadership and communication skills daily to coordinate kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations. Strong organizational skills are essential for managing inventory, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation is applied continuously to uphold kitchen hygiene and prevent contamination. Problem-solving skills are important for addressing operational challenges and resolving staff or customer issues promptly.
