Dining Room Supervisor

The Dining Room assistant manager ensures that residents and guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. Ensuring that appearance, setup, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of dining areas are maintained. Assist in supervising and training of dining room staff to our standards of excellence; while coordinating food service between the kitchen and dining staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist supervise all dining room staff.
• Answer phone calls and take reservations.
• Responsible for server's schedule.
• Receives and resolves complaints concerning dining room service.
• Make recommendations with respect to staff evaluations, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
• Helping out with other positions in the dining room as needed.
• Make sure all equipment is in good working order, report broken equipment immediately to manager for repair.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
• Must complete all assigned Relias training on a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director.

Education and/or

Work Experience Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with everyone
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within supervision.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or GED required Salary is compensable to experience

Physical Requirements:

• The physical ability to stand and or walk continuously.
• The physical ability to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
• Must be able to lift and carry up heavy trays up to 20 pounds.
