Job Description
Primary Objective of Position The FOH supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily FOH operations during their shifts. This role ensures staff follow Joia Beach service standards, guests receive proper service and the venue operates smoothly. The supervisor acts as a leader on the floor, supports the management team, and can open and close the restaurant independently. Essential Functions Staff Supervision and support Guest experience ensure guests are greeted promptly and feel welcome Monitor service quality throughout the shift Handle basic guest complaints and service recovery on the floor Escalate major issues to the MOD or GM Operations and Floor Management Open and close the venue following all procedures Ensure the restaurant, the beach, the bar and the lounge are clean, organized and properly set up Monitor table flow, reservations and seating during service Ensure side work and closing duties are completed correctly Assist with cash handling procedures and POS operations Ensure staff are in proper uniform and on time Management support Support the Management team with daily operational tasks Communicate important shift updates to management Assist with inventory counts, checklists and reports when needed Step into operational roles as needed during busy periods Ensure company policies and procedures, safety and hygiene standards are followed Basic Admin and Compliance duties Always follow safety and security procedures Fill out tip's matrix if necessary Send all end-of-the-night reports Report accidents, incidents and maintenance issues immediately Ensure labor schedules are respected during the shift Attend staff meetings and required training Qualifications Physical Demands This position requires long hours of standing, walking, bending, and squatting. It is a must that this person is physically able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds or more. This position may require you to work in adverse weather conditions like rain, cold and the summer heat. Qualifications Minimum of Five (5) years Food & Beverage and Restaurant / Hotel experience. Must have previous leadership experience in a high-volume Restaurant or similar size and nature. Must have Food & Beverage product and equipment knowledge. Must speak, read, and understand English.
