Job Description:
Lead all kitchen operations, including patient meal services, café, and physician lounge, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and service. Collaborate with departmental leaders to align foodservice strategies with organizational goals, patient needs, and regulatory standards. Manage staffing plans, training programs, and performance evaluations to build a skilled, engaged, and customer-focused team. Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and local, state, and national regulations. Other duties as assigned. Drive continuous improvement through operational audits, service quality initiatives, and data-informed decision-making.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written [Required]
  • Customer service oriented [Required]
  • Creative, innovative, and receptive to change [Required]
  • Proficient in Windows Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint [Required]
  • Can calculate recipe ingredient amounts for fluctuations in serving size (catering/cafeteria) [Required]
  • Proficient in cashier services, counting money, using cash register [Required]
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) [Preferred]
  • Proficient in CBORD computerized software programs [Preferred]
Education:
  • Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
  • in business management, hospitality management, or related field
Work Experience:
  • 4+ years of management/supervisory experience [Required]
Additional Information:
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:
  • Bachelor's OR 4+ years of management/supervisory experience
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Food Handler Certificate (FHC) [Preferred]
  • ServeSafe Certification (SERV) [Required]
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) [Preferred]
