Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented FOH (Front of House) Manager with a strong passion for wine and exceptional customer service skills. In this dynamic role, you will lead the front-of-house team to deliver memorable dining experiences, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of hospitality. Your expertise in wine knowledge will elevate our service, creating a refined and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Duties Oversee daily front-of-house operations, including guest seating, service flow, and overall ambiance Lead staff training and development, focusing on customer service excellence, wine pairing, and food presentation Manage reservations, walk-ins, and large parties efficiently to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant throughput Ensure proper food handling, safety standards, and cleanliness are maintained throughout the dining area Supervise beverage service including bar operations, with a focus on wine service and pairings Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Control inventory levels for wine, beverages, and supplies to minimize waste and optimize stock levels Train staff on food preparation basics relevant to front-of-house duties, including quick service techniques for fast-paced environments Monitor staff performance during shifts, providing coaching and feedback to uphold high standards of hospitality management Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Experience Proven management experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting with supervisory responsibilities Extensive knowledge of wines, including varietals, regions, tasting notes, and proper serving techniques Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred Background in food service management within casual dining or fine dining environments Demonstrated ability to train and develop team members in customer service and food handling procedures Experience supervising inventory control processes and managing budgets effectively Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food production and handling Previous experience working in hotel or catering settings is advantageous but not required Join us to lead a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality while showcasing your expertise in wine knowledge.
