No late nights — kitchen closes by 8pm most nights and earlier on Sundays A locally owned coastal provisions shop, craft beer & wine bar, and counter-service kitchen in the Lakewood Ranch / Sarasota area is hiring a Lead Line Cook / Kitchen Lead. This is a hands-on cooking role with leadership responsibility. We are looking for someone dependable, organized, clean, and capable of helping lead a small but growing kitchen program. Our menu includes tavern-style pies, wings, sandwiches, wraps, bowls, salads, shareables, and weekend breakfast sandwiches. What You'll Do
  • Cook and execute the full lunch and dinner menu consistently
  • Help run weekend breakfast service
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, stocked, and service-ready
  • Help create prep lists and maintain daily kitchen standards
  • Assist with scheduling coverage for a small kitchen team
  • Help cover occasional call-outs or schedule gaps when needed
  • Assist with food ordering, inventory, and communicating product needs
  • Help come up with fun food ideas for events, watch parties, and specials
  • Work with ownership to improve systems, menu execution, speed, and consistency
  • Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards What We're Looking For
  • Strong line cook experience
  • Must be available Saturdays and Sundays
  • Ability to work independently in a small kitchen
  • Clean, organized work habits
  • Positive attitude and good communication
  • Someone who can lead by example without drama
  • Ability to handle prep, service, cleaning, and basic kitchen organization
  • Interest in helping grow the food side of a small local business Schedule Saturday and Sunday availability is required.
Weekends are an important part of the role, including breakfast service along with lunch and dinner menu execution. The kitchen closes by 8pm most nights and earlier on Sundays, so this is a great fit for someone who wants a serious kitchen role without late-night restaurant hours. Pay $25
  • 30/hour based on experience.
