Tampa General Hospital (with support responsibilities for South Tampa location) Position Title Ice Cream Supervisor Position Summary Strachan's Homemade Ice Cream & Desserts is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Ice Cream Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Tampa General Hospital location. This position is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining product quality and cleanliness standards, and coordinating specialty cake orders between our Tampa General Hospital and South Tampa locations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively manage a team, maintain operational excellence, and ensure timely delivery and execution of all cake orders. Essential ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership Supervise and lead team members during assigned shifts. Open and close the store according to company procedures. Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently provided. Train, coach, and develop employees on company standards and procedures. Maintain proper staffing levels throughout shifts. Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly. Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to management. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Cake Coordination & Delivery Management Coordinate all cake orders between Tampa General Hospital and South Tampa locations. Manage cake production schedules and communicate deadlines with bakery staff. Schedule and organize cake deliveries to ensure orders arrive accurately and on time. Personally deliver cakes when necessary or assign delivery responsibilities appropriately. Verify all cake orders for accuracy, presentation, and customer specifications prior to delivery. Maintain delivery logs and order tracking records. Communicate with customers regarding order confirmations, pickup times, delivery schedules, and special requests. Administrative Duties Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage. Maintain daily sales and operational reports. Ensure cash handling procedures are followed accurately. Monitor labor costs and productivity during shifts. Communicate operational updates and issues to upper management. Qualifications Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. Food service, restaurant, café, bakery, or ice cream shop experience preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for cake deliveries. Basic computer and scheduling skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to transport cakes safely between locations. Ability to work in refrigerated and food preparation environments. Performance Expectations Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality. Ensure all cake orders are delivered accurately and on time. Support positive team morale and employee accountability. Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards at all times. Represent Strachan's Homemade Ice Cream & Desserts professionally both in-store and during deliveries.
