Full Time Staff Macon Pizza Company - 5.0 Macon, GA Job Details Full-time $11 - $14 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Kitchen health and safety standards Retail sales transactions Retail customer service procedures Customer communication Food service health code compliance Quick service & fast food restaurant Safety regulations Cash register operations Food safety sanitizing procedures Attention to detail Payment processing in food service Stocking Retail math Grocery store Guest services Full Job Description Duties Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and freshness Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, sales transactions, and cash handling Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations in compliance with food safety regulations Manage cash register operations including cashiering duties, cash handling, and balancing registers at shift end Assist with food handling tasks such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring quick service during busy hours Support team members with food preparation, kitchen duties, and general restaurant operations to ensure smooth daily functioning Requirements Prior experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred Knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong skills in food preparation, cashiering, customer service, and food safety practices Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and order calculations Experience working in the food industry or retail grocery store environments is advantageous Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude toward customers and team members Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform sanitation duties
