Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Day Shift Lead to join our vibrant team! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations during the daytime hours, ensuring smooth food preparation, exceptional customer service, and efficient team management. Your leadership will help maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality, creating a welcoming environment for both guests and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced, quick-service restaurant setting while fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily food preparation and service activities during the day shift, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. Lead staff training and development initiatives, including onboarding new team members and providing ongoing coaching to enhance performance. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Oversee cash handling procedures, including POS (Point of Sale) operations such as Aloha POS and Micros POS systems, ensuring accuracy and accountability. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen and dining areas. Assist with shift management by delegating tasks, resolving customer concerns promptly, and maintaining a positive team environment. Support restaurant management in budgeting efforts, food production planning, and implementing operational improvements to enhance overall efficiency. Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within fast-paced restaurant environments. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate transactions. Strong leadership skills with proven experience in supervising teams, training staff, and managing shifts effectively. Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and hospitality management principles. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and resolve issues swiftly. Background in casual dining or quick service & fast food restaurants; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including cash handling, staff scheduling, and food production while maintaining high standards of quality.
