Job Description
RISE coffee & tea is more than a coffee shop. We are a nonprofit social enterprise that exists to know, love, and serve our community while creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals of all abilities. We are seeking a dependable, experienced Team Lead to join our leadership team for a consistent 20-hour-per-week schedule. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading others, creating exceptional customer experiences, and helping a mission-driven organization thrive. Responsibilities Lead shifts and support team members throughout the day Open and close the café independently Ensure excellent customer service and hospitality Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards Support inventory management and communicate ordering needs Assist with training and coaching team members Help coordinate special events and community activities Ensure daily tasks and operational standards are completed Communicate effectively with ownership and leadership Qualifications Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred Coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Comfortable leading a team and holding others accountable Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential Passion for serving others and supporting an inclusive workplace What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who wants consistency and is seeking a long-term opportunity to grow with our organization.
