The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, culinary experience, excellent teamwork and team- building skills, and a passion for working with our nutrition program. Join us to make a difference within our organization in a collaborative, innovative team environment. Duties Assists in planning menus, preparing and apportioning foods, and utilizing food surpluses. Supervises personnel in the absence of the Nutrition Director. Orders supplies and coordinates the delivery of supplies in the absence of the Nutrition Director or as assigned by director. Monitors the flow of work on a daily basis to ensure the timeliness of the meals. Provides input for reassignments in the absence of other workers. Assists in storage and distribution of meals and supplies. Coordinate inventory process with accounting and kitchen staff. Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitary condition of all food service equipment and work areas. Assists in supervising cooks and tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers. Requirements Experience in dietary management; preferably in geriatrics. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead teams effectively. Some experience in budgeting, resource management, and operational oversight within a dietary department. Excellent leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to meet the following physical demands: Upper body strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular endurance to perform very heavy work. Physical activity includes, but is not limited to: balancing, climbing, crouching, dialing, driving, feeling, holding, grasping, handling, hearing, holding, kneeling, lifting, opening, reaching (below waist, waist to shoulder, above shoulder), repetitive wrist motions, seeing, sitting, standing, stooping, talking, walking, and writing. Ability to exert pressure in excess of 100 pounds of force

$40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
