The Shift Leader's role is to manage the product, process, and people required to execute a shift. This role has supervisory and decision-making power to assign tasks to team members and respond to guest complaints. Setting shift goals and aligning processes and tasks to these goals is critical to success in this role. The Shift Leader ensures their team is meeting benchmarks for success, takes care of issues with equipment, and is responsible for closing and opening tasks. FREE Meals On Shift & 50% Off Meals Off Shift Flexible Schedule Early Access to Pay Opportunities to Advance Benefits Recognition Program Employee Referral Program 401(k) With Employer Match (additional eligibility requirements) Additional Benefits for Full-Time Team Members Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short and Long-Term Disability Employer-Paid Life Insurance Job Duties and Responsibilities The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities: Complete all training requirements including: Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan Food Safety Certification Any additional training required by Zax LLC Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxby's Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders that meet company standards and guest satisfaction Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back to management on goal progress Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations Follow company cash management policies Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description Ensure the team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures Immediately report all human resources and risk management concerns to your General Manager and District Manager Escalate other concerns to your supervisor when appropriate All other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly Job Qualifications The following requirements must be met to qualify for this position. Must be 18 years of age or older Must have reliable transportation Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Part-time:
Available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
Full-time:
Available to work 32 to 40 hours per week Successful completion of background check Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others Follows company standards and local laws with regards to employee time punches Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools Strong problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively Conflict resolution skills Ability to make sound judgements and decisions which align with company standards and values Servant leader mindset Leadership experience preferred Capability Requirements The following capabilities are required to perform the essential functions of this position.
