Job Description
FSQ Team LeadThis role provides hands-on leadership for food safety and quality activities within a high volume food manufacturing environment. The FSQ Team Lead supports daily operations by ensuring products meet safety, regulatory, and customer expectations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and has strong technical skills in microbiology and sanitation oversight.
Job DutiesPerform routine microbiology checks, including reading and interpreting microbiology plates to identify potential issuesConduct environmental swabbing, product sampling, and verification testing throughout raw and processed meat production areasMonitor adherence to HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and other food safety programs, escalating concerns as neededLead daily preop and operational inspections to confirm sanitary conditions and equipment readinessSupport root cause investigations for deviations, foreign material incidents, or micro related findingsMaintain accurate documentation for sampling, testing, and verification activitiesTrain production staff on food safety practices, hygiene expectations, and proper sampling techniquesAssist with internal audits, regulatory visits, and customer inspections to ensure compliance
Those with HACCP certification IN HAND will be given priority consideration, but without, you will need to complete/receive during your first 6 months on the job.
Those with a working knowledge of microbiology testing, plate reading, environmental monitoring, and sampling proceduresDirect experience working with, and a familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and basic regulatory requirements for meat processingStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and take corrective actionAbility to work in cold, wet, and fast paced production environmentsEffective communication skills and the ability to guide or coach team membersAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends or early shifts, based on production needsApply to this role HERE, and reach out via email to russ.holland@cybercoders.com and let's connect/discuss the fit to determine if this is a possible match.

Experience and Education RequirementsEducational Requirements:
High school diploma required; additional coursework in Food Science, Microbiology, or related fields preferred.Those with HACCP certification IN HAND will be given priority consideration, but without, you will need to complete/receive during your first 6 months on the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
