Kitchen Lead Sag Wagon - 3.5 Cedar Rapids, IA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $14 - $16 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Communication with kitchen staff Full Job Description Overview The Kitchen Lead is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring food is prepared safely, consistently and efficiently. This role leads and supports kitchen staff while maintaining high standards for quality cleanliness and teamwork. Duties Lead, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff. Train new and existing employees on food preparation, safety procedures, and kitchen operations. Maintain current ServSafe certification and ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards. Enforce cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, including equipment, workstations and storage areas. Monitor portion control to ensure consistency, minimize waste, and control food costs. Place and manage food orders, maintain inventory levels, and coordinate with vendors as needed Experience Proven experience in a fast food or quick service restaurant environment with a strong background in food preparation and cooking. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector. Experience in inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a positive team atmosphere. Position Requirements Must be available to work Thursday and Friday mornings during the peak season. Must be comfortable with seasonal scheduling, including reduced hours during the off-season based on business needs. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
