Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Opening Shift Lead Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities during the morning hours, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young learners. With comprehensive HHS (Heath and Human Services) training provided, you will be empowered to create meaningful learning experiences that promote childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Duties Lead and supervise classroom activities during the opening shift, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to daily schedules. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including early intervention strategies and literacy education. Foster a nurturing environment that supports toddlers' care needs, behavior management, and social-emotional growth. Collaborate with team members to create inclusive classroom experiences that address special education needs and promote childhood development milestones. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, classroom activities, and welfare. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques and classroom management best practices. Ensure compliance with licensing standards, health and safety regulations, and program policies related to childcare, preschool experience, and daycare operations. Requirements Passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Prior experience in classroom management, lesson planning, or teaching young children; preschool or daycare experience preferred. Knowledge of curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and standardized testing methods relevant to early childhood education. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, families, and team members effectively. Ability to work independently during the opening shift while collaborating as part of a team. Willingness to participate in HHS training programs designed to enhance your skills in early intervention, special education, literacy education, math instruction, Montessori methods or physical education.
