Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Shift Lead Closing Teacher to join our dynamic early childhood education team. In this role, you will oversee classroom activities during the closing shift, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young learners. With comprehensive HHS (Health and Human Services) training provided, you will lead by example, manage classroom routines, and support the development of children through structured lesson plans and individualized attention. Responsibilities Lead classroom activities during the closing shift, ensuring all children are engaged and supervised in accordance with safety standards. Implement and adapt curriculum plans focused on early childhood development, literacy education, and preschool readiness. Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies. Support children's social-emotional growth through nurturing interactions and individualized attention. Collaborate with team members to develop lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles, physical education, and age-appropriate learning activities. Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, attendance, and developmental progress for each child. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including child welfare protocols and daycare standards. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development, early intervention strategies, and special education practices. Experience working with children in classroom or daycare settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, parents, and children. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods for early learners. Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning environment. Knowledge of Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education is a plus.
