Kitchen Supervisor

An established restaurant in Effingham is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to help lead daily back-of-house operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can work the line, support the team, and ensure food quality and kitchen standards are consistently met. Restaurant details will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process. Responsibilities Supervise and support line cooks during service Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen Assist with prep, line coverage, and expediting during peak hours Help manage ticket flow and timing Train and mentor kitchen staff Enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Communicate effectively with front-of-house and management Assist with ordering, inventory, and waste control as needed Qualifications 2+ years kitchen experience; leadership experience preferred Strong line skills in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure Positive attitude and team-first mindset Availability for evenings and weekends Compensations $22-$25 per hour based on experience Health benefits available for those considered for full-time roles
