This role serves as the on-site leader during events, coordinating staff, communicating with culinary and management teams, and delivering exceptional food and beverage service. Essential Functions Lead banquet team during events, ensuring proper setup, service and breakdown. Review all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in detail and execute events according to specifications. Serve as the primary point of contact during the events for staff and management. Oversee the flow of service during events to ensure quality, efficiency, and timeliness. Work closely with members, event hosts, and vendors to deliver a seamless and exceptional event experience. Monitor timelines and respond promptly to any event changes or guest requests. Ensure compliance with all Club policies and safety regulations. Assist with tastings for special events such as weddings and receptions. Train, mentor, and assist banquet staff in developing service and presentation skills. Assist in creating and maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment. Maintain communication with the Banquet Manager regarding inventory, staffing needs, and event feedback. Assist in other assignments not included in Duties & Responsibilities as directed by management to support overall Club operations.
Qualifications / Skills
Needed Minimum 2-3 years of banquet experience; private club or upscale hospitality experience and leadership responsibilities preferred. Strong knowledge of banquet service standards and event operations. Proven ability to multitask and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate member and guest needs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. BASSET and Food Handler certifications required (Club may provide course if needed). Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required for event setup and breakdown. Uniform & Appearance Standards Uniform provided by the Club must be clean and pressed at all times. Shoes must be closed-toe, slip-resistant, and in good repair. Personal appearance must reflect the professionalism and conservative standards of the Club.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
