Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Food and Beverage of a high end Italian Restaurant to lead our new culinary and hospitality operations in Rosemont with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of food production, food service management, and hospitality experience, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will inspire teams across kitchens, restaurants, catering, and banquet services to deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining operational excellence. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to elevate food quality, service standards, and guest satisfaction across all food and beverage outlets. Lead, motivate, and supervise culinary teams, including kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and catering personnel to ensure high performance and engagement. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations, dietary requirements, and quality control standards. Manage daily operations including shift management, inventory control, cost management, and procurement of supplies for kitchens and service areas. Coordinate with event planners for banquet and catering services to deliver seamless execution from setup to service. Foster a culture of hospitality excellence by training staff in customer service skills, serving techniques, and hospitality best practices. Ensure compliance with health codes, safety procedures, and sanitation standards across all food handling activities. Innovate menu offerings by collaborating with culinary teams to incorporate trending flavors while maintaining consistency in food production. Experience Proven management experience in food service management or hospitality management roles within restaurants, hotels, or catering environments. Extensive culinary experience with strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervising experience overseeing large teams in fast-paced settings such as restaurants or banquet halls. Familiarity with restaurant operations including shift management, food safety protocols (such as HACCP), and dietary considerations. Background in managing diverse food services such as catering, banquets, coffee shops (barista experience), or similar hospitality venues. Strong leadership skills combined with excellent customer service orientation to foster a positive guest experience. Knowledge of the food industry trends related to culinary innovation, food handling regulations, and hospitality standards. $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
