Job Description
Food Service Specialist Responsibilities:
The Food Service Specialist will be responsible for various tasks related to food preparation, serving and cleanliness in the designated areas. The Food Service Specialist will have a passion for food service, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The Food Service Specialist reports directly to the Kitchen Manager. Food Service Specialist duties will include but are not limited to:
Prepare and cook food, maintaining availability, quality and consistency Adhere to all food safety procedures and standards within the course of performing job dutiesMaintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food service areas, including kitchen, dining and storage areaExecute food preparation methods, portion sizes and presentation of food Manage product storage, maintain and rotate inventory to avoid damage/spoilageMaintain clean, sanitary dishes and utensilsLoad soiled dishes into dish rack and prepare dish machine for cleaning cycleSpecial tasks as assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Strong customer service skills Two (2) years of experience in the food service industryLift up to 50 poundsAble to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hoursAble to bend, kneel, stoop
Hours:
The Food Service Specialist is either a full time or part time position, hours may vary
Salary/Income:
The Food Service Specialist is a non-exempt, hourly position
