Full-time Position Details:
Responsible for in oversight of kitchen operations to ensure that students are served nutritious and attractive meals in a clean and caring atmosphere. Responsible for organizing, training, food production, food service activities, and assisting the kitchen record management and reporting functions. 6.5 hours/day; varies by building and assignment Monday -
Friday Description of Duties:
1. Check production schedule and ensure that all employees know their assignments. 2. Observe operation of total program and performance of staff. 3. Note changes in work activities. 4.Check deliveries for accuracy in quantities and acceptability of quality. 5. Store food and supplies in appropriate area. 6. Perform food temperature checks. 7. Assist students, parents, and school staff with questions concerning meal program. 8. Preparing reports, orders, and inventory. 9. Assist with employee's time card management and approval. 10. Use a computerized cashier system with accuracy & reasonable speed. 11. Use standard food service tools & equipment and recipes. 12. Ensure the quality appearance of food on the service line. 13. Serve food with reasonable speed & accuracy. 14. Familiarity with proper taste, temperature, and appearance of menu items. 15. Work as a member of the school and school Child Nutrition team 16. Keep food production, storage, and service areas clean and sanitary. 17. Assist in the preparation of food products. 18. Demonstrate a willingness to improve skills through specialized training in Child Nutrition.
Pay:
$19.87 per hour
