Charter Senior Living of Murray is seeking an experienced and motivated Dining Services Director / Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about food quality, team development, and creating an exceptional dining experience for residents. This includes ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, customer service, staffing, and financial performance while delivering an exceptional dining experience for residents. Key Responsibilities Oversee all kitchen and dining service operations within the community Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction Manage staffing, scheduling, and team development within the department Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards Oversee inventory, purchasing, and cost control within budget guidelines Monitor portion control, waste reduction, and kitchen efficiency Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain consistency and performance Collaborate with leadership to enhance resident dining experiences Promote a culture that recognizes the importance of dining services to resident quality of life Qualifications Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Dining Services Director, or similar leadership role required Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality preferred Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations Experience managing budgets, food costs, and inventory Proven leadership experience with team development and performance management Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for delivering high-quality meals and service Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and work in a kitchen environment for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat and kitchen equipment Our Core Values Serve with Heart Serve with Purpose Serve with Courage Have Fun While Serving What Our Team Says "It truly feels like a family at Charter."
