Essential Qualifications:
Monitor food quality and portion control to maintain high standards of nutrition and satisfaction among residents. Oversee meal service to ensure residents receive timely and appropriate meals according to their individualized dietary plans. This position requires flexible hours/days, night, weekends and holidays. Assists in assigning specific jobs and spot checking to ensure standards are met. Ensures that all policies and procedures related to safety and health are followed, including but not limited to MSDS information, safe work practices, infection control and universal precautions. Promote teamwork within the department and between departments to ensure smooth operations and quality service. Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of written dining room service objectives and standards of practice with procedures for implementation. Assists in assuring staff education is provided to dining room personnel in accordance with the staff education plan, plus provides the job training for dining room personnel. Ensure that dining room service follows all local, federal and state regulations in relation to service, sanitation and personnel. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, in-service training and tailored training courses. Inspects multiple pantries and equipments to determine repair or maintenance needs and cleanliness. Attends in-service training/meetings and ensure monthly education sessions through Relias are being completed on time as assigned. Auditing pantries service offerings, initiating improvements with dietary manager. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
