Bar Lead — Reds & The Bottle Shop |
BEVERLY, MA
Part-Time to Full-Time | Thursday-Saturday | 4PM-Midnight The Bottle Shop is expanding! We are seeking an experienced Bar Lead to take ownership of nightly operations and work directly with ownership as we expand and open.
Responsibilities Lead nightly bar operations:
staffing, pacing, guest experience, and floor presence Lead by example behind and in front of the bar Develop fluency in the beverage program and actively support retail conversion, guests who discover something at the bar should be guided toward taking it home Maintain beverage inventory, ordering, and cost controls Set and uphold service standards, cleanliness, and consistency across all shifts Train and develop bar staff as the program grows Build relationships with regulars and establish a culture of return visits Support private events and programmed evenings as needed Coordinate with ownership on scheduling, operations, and program development Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and local health codes Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of bar or hospitality experience, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or management role Strong wine knowledge required, familiarity with low-intervention and small-production producers strongly preferred Solid bartending foundation, ability to work the bar independently when needed Self-directed and accountable, able to operate with a high degree of autonomy Genuine hospitality instincts and a considered approach to guest experience Strong communication skills and composure under pressure TIPS certification required, ServSafe or Food Manager Certification a plus Thursday through Saturday evening availability required
