Banquet / Event Supervisor - Job Description Job Title Banquet / Event Supervisor Job Summary The Banquet / Event Supervisor is responsible for overseeing banquet functions, special events, and catering operations to ensure excellent guest service and smooth event execution. This role supervises banquet staff, coordinates event setup and service, and ensures compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities Supervise banquet and event staff during setup, service, and breakdown of events. Coordinate with clients, kitchen staff, and event planners to ensure event requirements are met. Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and communicate details to team members. Ensure banquet rooms are properly arranged according to event specifications. Monitor food and beverage service quality and guest satisfaction throughout events. Train, schedule, and motivate banquet team members. Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in banquet areas. Monitor inventory of banquet supplies, linens, and equipment. Assist management with staffing, payroll, and performance evaluations when required. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification preferred. Previous experience in banquet operations, catering, or hospitality supervision. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events simultaneously. Basic knowledge of food safety and banquet service standards. Working Conditions Standing and walking for extended periods. Lifting and moving banquet equipment and supplies as needed. Working in indoor and outdoor event environments. Page Range Starting wage $19-$20 an hour depending on experience. Reporting To Banquet Manager / Food & Beverage Manager /
