Food Services Supervisor Hurley Medical Center - 3.8 Flint, MI Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Records maintenance Food preparation for special diets Employee relationship building Patient interaction Full Job Description Supervises personnel engaged in the assembly, transportation, and serving of patient food trays and nourishments. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Ensures compliance with all appropriate safety and infection control standards. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior and Management Code of Conduct.

Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services or designee who reviews work for effectiveness. Exercises working supervision over a number of food service personnel. Assigns, monitors, and evaluates work of personnel. Develops, monitors, and ensures adherence to policies and procedures to accomplish agreed-upon departmental objectives and maintains efficient productivity and customer satisfaction standards. High School Diploma or GED One (1) year of experience in institutional food service. Working knowledge of procedures involved in the preparation and service of food. Familiarity with procedures involved in writing routine special diets. Ability to work while standing for prolonged periods of time. Ability to understand oral and written instructions. Ability to maintain and keep records and to prepare reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, visitors, and hospital staff.
