Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cafe Supervisor at The Mill Glen Arbor, where your leadership and passion for exceptional food service will create memorable experiences for our guests. In this role, you will oversee daily cafe operations and uphold the highest standards of hospitality. Your energetic approach and management expertise will drive team success, foster a welcoming environment, and support the overall excellence of our cafe. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting dedicated to excellence. Pay rate provided is a tipped pay rate. With tips, there really is no limit! Responsibilities Lead and supervise cafe staff to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure smooth daily operations Have full execution over our well known coffee program while maintaining the current standard Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste using systems Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end Train new team members on our coffee program, food service, POS systems, and customer service protocols to promote a knowledgeable workforce Coordinate shift management by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations Support kitchen management by supervising food production processes, maintaining cleanliness standards Qualifications Proven experience in coffee or coffee related craft Strong knowledge of hospitality Excellent leadership skills Positive attitude The Mill Glen Arbor is part of Fernhaus Hospitality The Fernhaus Team is… Trustworthy, Thoughtful, and Proactive We work honestly and intentionally to promote The Fernhaus Mission and Core Principles and we expect and assume the same of our colleagues.
