What You'll Do As a Food Service Lead, you'll help ensure every guest has a positive dining experience while supporting the day-to-day success of our operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcome students, guests, and visitors with friendly, attentive service. Lead by example, helping create a positive, team-focused work environment. Set up attractive, well-stocked service stations before each meal period. Learn the daily menu and confidently answer guest questions. Keep food displays fresh, organized, and visually appealing throughout service. Monitor food quality, portion sizes, temperatures, and presentation. Work closely with the kitchen team to communicate product needs and maintain smooth service. Maintain clean, organized workstations while following all food safety and sanitation standards. Properly store leftover food to reduce waste and maintain quality. Help clean, sanitize, restock, and prepare for upcoming meal periods. Support overall dining room and kitchen operations with a positive, team-first attitude. Jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed. What We're Looking For We're searching for someone who: Enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service. Has previous food service experience (preferred but not required). Is dependable, organized, and detail-oriented. Can multitask while maintaining a positive attitude. Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a team. Leads with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm. Is comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. Team members should be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift and move up to 25 pounds. Handle serving utensils and food pans safely. Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, wiping, and sanitizing. Work in kitchen and serving environments that may be hot, humid, or cold. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Previous food service or hospitality experience is a plus. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
