Job Description
Chateau Grand Traverse is looking for a hands-on Culinary Expo Lead to work alongside our Executive Chef and support our tasting room and patio during high-volume service. This role is a key bridge between the kitchen, bar, and guests, helping us execute elevated small plates quickly, consistently, and with care. This is not a traditional sous chef role. Think culinary support with speed, organization, and service instincts. You will prep, build, garnish, plate, and serve small plates ordered at the bar and registers, then reset and do it again. The Role Prepare, assemble, garnish, and plate small plates during service Take orders from the bar and point-of-sale system and execute them efficiently Support private events with culinary service as needed Assist with weekly prep projects alongside our Chef Help maintain a clean, organized kitchen and prep area Work closely with bar and tasting room teams to keep service moving This role includes kitchen cleaning as part of service flow, but it is not a dishwashing-only position. Cleaning is shared across the tasting room.
