Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Food Service Director to lead and manage the dining operations within the public school setting. This pivotal role involves overseeing meal planning, dietary services, and staff supervision to ensure students receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet their individual health needs. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for nutrition, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of residents through exceptional food service management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' quality of life while demonstrating expert management capabilities. Duties Develop and implement meal plans tailored to students' dietary requirements. Supervise and coordinate the food service department staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on delivering excellent service. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Oversee budgeting, inventory management, and procurement processes to maintain cost-effective operations without compromising quality. Manage documentation related to food service, including compliance reports. Skills Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. Must meet USDA Professional Standard Professional Standards education requirements for School Food Authority Directors or a comparable leadership role preferred. Prior experience in school nutrition programs, or institutional food service management. Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) regulations preferred . Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) required or obtained within a specified timeframe. Knowledge of Minnesota food service and health department regulations required.
Pay:
$49,280.00 - $56,640.00 per year
