Job Description

Responsibilities:
Helps maintain and/or improve department efficiency. Addresses complaints and remedies service issues promptly. Ensures hospital regulations are met consistently. Abides by Clay County Health Department regulations and recommendations. Ensures policies and procedures are kept updated and compliance is maintained. Coordinates resources of the dietary department to provide services efficiently. Ensures food cost within budget guidelines. Observes inventory for adequate supplies. Uses approved ADA Nutrition Care Manuals. Ensures that menus, portion control, standardized recipes, and proper interpretation of diet order are followed by the dietary personnel. Ensures employee's schedules for production and utility areas are correct and posted promptly. Maintains proper staffing levels. Interviews and hires staff as needed while staying within allotted FTE's. Ensures dietary staff are orientated appropriately upon hire and receive appropriate training on an on-going basis. Conducts monthly in-services with the dietary staff. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Position Requirements:
Must have and maintain current Dietary Manager Certification (CDM), be a Registered Dietitian or associate degree in food services. 4+ years of previous industrial food preparation and service experience. 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred. Prior experience in healthcare food services preferred.
