Job Description
Our Food & Beverage Lead will demonstrate skills and abilities significantly greater than a Food & Beverages Team Member both in technical skills and leadership abilities. This position requires knowledge and abilities of the full range of food and beverage operations at Grant's Farm and assumes the key leadership role in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager maintaining and enforcing sanitation and safety standards and assuring customer service. They will provide guests with an excellent dining experience while preparing all orders in an efficient, timely and high-quality manner that is consistent with menu recipes. Essential Job Duties Provide leadership, direction, and training to food service personnel; assign job duties and oversee the completion of assigned tasks. Provide on-site, immediate resolution of customer service needs. Provide overall direction of food service operation in absence of the Food and Beverage Manager. Open and close locations daily, ensuring safety and security of facility. Maintain familiarity with the electronic point of sale (POS) system, including cash registers, scanners, and basic troubleshooting. Assist in preparation of work schedules and resolve scheduling problems. Provide input to the Manager concerning the performance of subordinate Food Service Team Members to allow accurate and fair evaluation of their performance. Inspect cooking, serving, and sanitation methods to ensure that finished products meet established standards for appearance, quality, and portion size. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/ standards. Prepare and cook food items for line and banquet consumption using standardized food techniques. Expedite the line during serving periods as needed ensuring food quality and presentation. Assist in the coordination of opening and closing as well as all line prep duties. Demonstrate a working knowledge of menus, recipes, food preparation and presentation. Operate dish machine and three compartment sinks. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management. Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. Minimum Qualifications Must be self-motivated and able to multitask Effective communication Attention to detail Team spirit and problem-solving abilities Flexibility and adaptability Prior Food and Beverage experience in a supervisory role Must be over the age of 21 to ensure proper service of alcohol Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to lift or carry 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
