Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Dining Services to oversee all aspects of our dining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Prepare all food in accordance with the daily menu planner, using the facilities standardized recipes, in a timely manner. Work on the food line during mealtimes. Plate food in an attractive manner and ensure that all condiments and garnishes are prepared and served with the appropriate food. Keep work area and serving line equipment clean and adhere to sanitation cleaning schedules. Keep stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean and ensure that food supply sticks are rotated all perishables are labeled, dated, and stored properly. Keep food waste to a minimum by using food storage and food recycling techniques. Attending all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. Perform all duties in adherence to city-state standards. Be knowledgeable of various diets (mechanical soft, puree, diabetic substitute) and the individual residents nutrition needs. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Adhere to all policies and procedures of the facility. Complete all food ordering for the facility using required Vendor. Maintain Dining monthly budget in accordance with Company expectations. Implement and manage staff scheduling for all positions in the Dining Service Department Organize and monitor all state required inspections for the facility specific to Dining area. Ensure that the Dining Department complies with all local, state, and federal regulations. Provide training and education to all staff in Dining expectations. Adhere to Facility Dining dept labor budget. Work closely with the Activity and Marketing depts to enhance and promote well attended events and excellent food and beverage services. Perform other duties as assigned.
