Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing warehouse teams in a temperature-controlled cold storage environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate execution of daily operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, this role provides direct supervision of Operations Leads and Material Handlers, balancing administrative responsibilities with active floor leadership while driving performance across safety, quality, service, productivity, and team development. Essential Duties Include:
Be a team player with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude. Provide direct supervision and accountability for an assigned team of Operations Leads and Material Handlers. Plan, organize, and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, shipping, and order fulfillment activities. Develop daily staffing plans and assign work to meet operational priorities and customer service expectations. Maintain a strong floor presence, monitoring workflow, resolving issues in real time, and supporting team productivity. Enforce company policies and procedures, including attendance, performance expectations, and safety standards. Partner with Human Resources and the Operations Manager to address employee relations matters, including coaching, corrective action, and performance management in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, and reinforce a strong safety culture. Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing coaching and feedback to improve productivity, accuracy, and overall effectiveness. Track and support key operational metrics, including safety, productivity, quality, attendance, and on-time performance. Coordinate and communicate with Operations Leads, Inventory Control, and Customer Service to ensure alignment across warehouse activities. Ensure warehouse facilities, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and operational condition. Support training and development initiatives to build team capability and ensure operational consistency. Operate material handling equipment as needed to support operations, as trained and authorized. Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as operational needs require, including working until the job is complete. Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team. Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; college or trade school education preferred. Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. 3-5 years of warehouse experience required, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Cold storage and food-grade warehouse experience preferred. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS); Korber/Infios experience preferred. Ability to read and understand written safety instructions, operational procedures, and training materials in English and communicate basic work-related information with supervisors and team members. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, coach, and hold teams accountable. Ability to plan, prioritize, and make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. Commitment to safety, food safety, and quality standards. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays during peak operational periods or as business needs require. Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items regularly, up to 50 lbs. Specific customer requirements may require up to 100 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift, often on concrete floors. Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and reaching above shoulder height. Repetitive use of hands and arms for picking, packing, scanning items, or operating equipment. Ability to work in a multi-temperature warehouse environment, with exposure to temperatures ranging from ambient to -20°F; Cold-Link provides cold weather gear. This is a safety sensitive position.
