Full-Time Position Summary The Food & Beverage Manager at Hattiesburg Country Club is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the club's dining, banquet, and bar services while delivering an exceptional hospitality experience for members and guests. This position assists with the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of restaurant, banquet, and bar staff and fosters a professional, team-oriented environment. The Food & Beverage Manager plays a key role in coordinating member events, golf tournaments, outings, and private functions while ensuring high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and compliance with all health and safety regulations. This position also supports the General Manager by serving as Manager on Duty when needed. Experience Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum 5-10 years of progressive food and beverage management experience , preferably in a private club, resort, or hospitality environment . Skills and Competencies Strong leadership and team development skills Exceptional hospitality and member service focus Experience managing private events, banquets, and tournaments Budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management experience Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments Essential Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Staff Leadership and Development Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating restaurant, banquet bar, and pool employees. Conduct orientation and ongoing training programs for all Food & Beverage staff. Develop employee schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels for daily operations, events, and tournaments. Foster a positive, professional workplace culture while leading by example and promoting teamwork. Food & Beverage Operations Oversee daily operations of the club's dining areas, banquet spaces, and bar services. Ensure that all food and beverage service meets the high standards expected by club members and guests. Work closely with the culinary team and other departments to provide seamless service during member events and club functions. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality. Events and Tournament Coordination Organize and execute food and beverage service for golf outings, member events, private functions, and in-house tournaments. Assist in the development of event sales plans, pricing, and billing for special events and tournaments. Coordinate staffing and operational logistics to ensure successful event execution. Inventory and Financial Management Implement and enforce inventory control procedures for all food and beverage products. Conduct spot checks on product counts and assist with month-end inventory processes. Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports and budgets for the Food & Beverage department. Health, Safety, and Sanitation Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, kitchen operations, and dining areas. Ensure compliance with all local and regional health department regulations. Maintain consistent cleanliness and organization standards throughout all food and beverage facilities. Facility and Equipment Oversight Ensure that food and beverage facilities and equipment are properly maintained and in working order. Maintain operational systems and checklists to ensure cleanliness, safety, and service standards are consistently met. Leadership and Club Operations Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager. Act as the closing manager for evening operations and assist with opening shifts as needed. Collaborate with other club departments to support overall member satisfaction and club operations.
