This is not a "maintain the status quo" position. We are looking for a hospitality leader who wants the opportunity to help rebuild and elevate a growing food & beverage operation with significant potential. Our goal is to restore energy to the King Edward Grille and King Edward Bar, elevate banquet and catering operations, and create a food and beverage experience that attracts both hotel guests and the local community.

186 guest rooms Full-service restaurant - King Edward Grille King Edward Bar & Lounge Banquet and catering operations 9 meeting/event rooms totaling over 7,300 square feet Historic ballroom and event space Opportunity to redevelop room service/in-room dining operations Position Summary The Food & Beverage Director oversees all hotel food and beverage operations, including: Restaurant operations Bar/lounge operations Kitchen operations Banquet and catering execution Meeting and event food service Staffing and scheduling Cost controls and inventory Guest satisfaction and service standards This is a highly hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading service on the floor, working alongside the kitchen team, overseeing banquet execution, developing menus and cocktails, and helping build a vibrant food & beverage culture within the hotel. The Food & Beverage Director will "own" the hotel's food and beverage operations, including the second-floor banquet and meeting space operations. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRestaurant & Bar Operations Oversee all operations of the King Edward Grille and King Edward Bar Lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences Improve food quality, consistency, presentation, and service standards Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and cocktail programs Create strategies to increase local patronage and evening/weekend business Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and health regulations Monitor guest feedback and continuously improve service quality Banquets, Meetings & Catering Oversee banquet and catering execution for hotel meetings and events Coordinate closely with the Sales Department regarding banquet event orders and event details Manage all operational aspects of events including setup, staffing, food preparation, service execution, and breakdown Ensure successful execution of weddings, receptions, business meetings, social events, and group functions Kitchen & Culinary Leadership Supervise kitchen operations and culinary staff Maintain high food quality and consistency standards Assist with recipe development, menu costing, and food presentation Monitor food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance Manage food ordering, inventory, receiving, and waste controls Financial & Leadership Responsibilities Manage food, beverage, and labor costs Optimize revenue streams through operational improvements Prepare schedules and staffing plans based on business demand Recruit, train, coach, and develop food and beverage staff Foster a professional, team-oriented work environment Lead by example through active involvement in daily operations Qualifications Required Minimum 3-5 years of food & beverage management experience Strong knowledge of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations Experience managing restaurant and bar operations Experience with catering, banquets, meetings, and event execution Culinary knowledge and kitchen management experience Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands require Preferred Hotel food & beverage management experience Hilton or other branded hotel experience Executive chef or culinary leadership background Experience revitalizing or growing restaurant/bar operations Experience developing beverage and cocktail programs Experience with inventory systems, scheduling, and cost controls Experience with
MICROS POS
systems and hotel food & beverage technology platforms preferred
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
