Job Details:
Hours of work: 3 pm to 11pm, Monday thru Friday. Flexible scheduling required.
pay:
$18.85/hours. Holiday and some Weekend Work required. Attendance Incentive offered. Candidate must obtain and maintain Tyson Operators Permit. MS drivers license with no more than two moving violations. No DUI/DWI. Job Description:
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. 1. Ability to accurately read and record data 2. Ability to operate Milling Machinery 3. Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools 4. Ability to organize/flex task and change priorities throughout the day 5. Ability to communicate to all levels of operations with the feed mill 6. Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. 7. Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling 8. Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures 9. Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species 10. Maintain good housekeeping including service areas 11. Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required 12. Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols 13. Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance 14. Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day. 15. Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
Education:
High school degree or equivalent
Feed Mill Lead Requirements:
Six (6) months of operator experience with one employer within the previous 12 months. Six (6) months.
Special Skills:
1. Basic Math Skills 2. Communication Skills 3. Critical Thinking 4. Basic computer skill 5. Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification 6. Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability to be clean shaven) 7. Ability to certify and maintain a Boiler Certification where applicable 8.
