Job Summary:
The Food Service Lead is responsible for overseeing food service operations, ensuring high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. This position assists in coordinating workflows, training team members, and supporting event setups. The Food Service Lead ensures that all food service equipment is maintained, properly stored, and event-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise food service operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Train, mentor, and oversee Food Service Technicians. Maintain and track inventory of food service equipment and supplies. Ensure cleanliness and organization in all food service areas. Assist in setup and breakdown of food service equipment at events. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill event requirements. Identify and report equipment issues or maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in food service is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service or catering. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Job Performance Standards:
Maintain efficiency and accuracy in food service operations. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Successfully train and support Food Service Technicians. Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment. Ensure proper maintenance and handling of all food service equipment. Meet productivity and quality expectations set by management.
Work Environment:
Warehouse and event settings with exposure to kitchen equipment, cleaning agents, and varying temperatures. Standing, lifting, and repetitive motions required.
