This role is perfect for someone with a passion for food service, culinary excellence, and team leadership. As a key player in our dietary department, you will oversee meal preparation, manage kitchen staff, and uphold food safety standards to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive work environment while maintaining the highest standards of food handling and service. Responsibilities Supervise daily food preparation activities within the dietary department, ensuring timely and accurate meal production Lead and motivate kitchen staff, including dietary aides and prep cooks, fostering teamwork and high performance Oversee menu planning in collaboration with dietitians or culinary managers to meet nutritional guidelines and customer preferences Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards to prevent contamination Coordinate food preparation tasks such as chopping, cooking, portioning, and plating with precision and efficiency Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; place orders as needed to maintain stock levels Train new team members on proper food safety protocols, knife skills, cooking techniques, and food service procedures Qualifications Proven experience in dietary departments or food service settings such as restaurants, catering, or the food industry Strong background in food preparation, cooking, meal assembly, and kitchen operations Knowledge of menu planning principles and dietary guidelines applicable to various populations Excellent understanding of food safety practices including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Skilled in knife handling, culinary techniques, and food presentation to ensure quality standards are met Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a kitchen or dietary environment is preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards Join us as a Prep Supervisor to lead with energy and expertise!
