Back of House Lead Krankies Coffee - 3.2 Winston-Salem, NC Job Details Full-time $21 - $26 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications ServSafe Operational management Team development Attention to detail Process management Leadership Full Job Description Back of House Lead We're looking for a strong Back of House Lead to help drive our kitchen culture, systems, and execution. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, creating structure, and maintaining high standards while still having fun and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate has previous kitchen leadership or management experience, leads by example, and understands that great operations come from consistency, accountability, and attention to detail. What You'll Do Lead and support the BOH team during daily operations Coach, train, and develop team members to perform at a high level Ensure recipes, systems, and SOPs are followed consistently Help maintain a positive, energetic, and professional kitchen culture Assist with menu development, recipe testing, and continuous improvement initiatives Build and improve operational systems and kitchen protocols Manage inventory, ordering, and product organization Oversee cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation Work closely with ownership and leadership to identify opportunities for operational excellence What We're Looking For Previous kitchen management, sous chef, kitchen manager, or BOH leadership experience Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to hold people accountable while earning their respect Organized, detail-oriented, and systems-minded Experience with inventory management and ordering Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards Passion for developing teams and creating a great workplace culture Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Creative mindset with an interest in menu development and process improvement Our Ideal Candidate You understand that great kitchens don't happen by accident. You enjoy building systems, creating consistency, and developing people. You're comfortable leading from the front, keeping standards high, and making sure the small details don't get overlooked. You know when to have fun with the team, but you also understand the importance of process, accountability, and execution.
