Summary:
The Lead Nutrition Services oversees daily operations, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to healthcare standards. This role supports and trains staff, manages scheduling, and collaborates with dietitians to meet patient dietary needs, including specialized meal plans. Responsibilities include monitoring food preparation for quality and safety, addressing patient concerns, maintaining regulatory compliance, and conducting inspections to uphold cleanliness standards. Additionally, the Lead assists in menu development and maintains accurate records related to food safety, inventory, and training.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists with daily operations of the Nutrition Services team, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and according to healthcare standards. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards. Collaborates with dietitians and clinical staff to ensure patient dietary needs and preferences are met, including specialized meal plans for patients with specific medical conditions. Monitors food preparation and service to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with dietary guidelines. Address patient and family concerns related to nutrition services and resolve issues promptly. Ensures adherence to all healthcare regulations, food safety standards, and organizational policies. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
