Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to oversee all aspects of our food service program in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. The Dietary Manager will lead menu planning, kitchen operations, staff supervision, and ensure high-quality, safe, and nutritionally appropriate meals for children, residents, and staff. The Dietary Manager works closely with dietitians, nursing, and therapy teams to meet individual dietary needs and maintain strong food service standards. This role is both hands-on and leadership-focused, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality across all food service operations. Key Responsibilities Menu Development & Nutrition Planning The Dietary Manager collaborates with a registered dietitian to develop USDA-compliant menus, prepares production sheets, tracks substitutions, manages food ordering, and maintains inventory. Special Dietary Needs & Meal Quality The Dietary Manager ensures all meals meet individualized dietary requirements, supports adaptive feeding needs, assists with special events, and maintains high food quality standards. Kitchen Operations & Compliance The Dietary Manager oversees daily kitchen operations including meal preparation, sanitation, temperature logs, inventory control, cleaning schedules, and USDA documentation. The Dietary Manager also manages food costs and budget oversight. Leadership & Staff Development The Dietary Manager supervises dietary staff, manages scheduling, provides training and performance feedback, leads staff meetings, supports recruitment and onboarding, and participates in organizational committees and leadership meetings.
