  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Evening Deli Lead to oversee daily operations in our bustling deli environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining efficient kitchen and service operations during evening hours. The Evening Deli Lead will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team environment while upholding the highest standards of hospitality and food management. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily deli operations during evening shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet company standards and customer expectations. Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Train, mentor, and develop staff members to enhance their skills in food handling, customer service, and safety protocols. Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in compliance with health codes. Assist with shift management, scheduling staff coverage to meet business demands. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, and operational improvements. Support catering events or special functions as needed, including banquet or hospitality services. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or restaurant supervision within quick service or casual dining environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required. Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and supervising food service teams. Familiarity with inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures. Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service. Experience in culinary arts or hospitality management preferred; fine dining or hotel experience advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for interviewing staff, conducting training sessions, and collaborating with team members. Knowledge of budgeting principles related to food service management is a plus.
