Taste remains one of the most meaningful experiences for those we serve, and we treat it as a priority. I am seeking a Director of Dietary Services who takes pride in their work, values consistency and quality, and understands the importance of the dining experience in a residential setting. This role requires someone who can lead a team, maintain high standards, and respond professionally to feedback. Equally important, this role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with all state regulations, food safety standards, and survey readiness expectations. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute menus featuring well-balanced, home-style meals tailored to resident preferences and nutritional needs Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, and presentation Ensure compliance with all state regulations, food safety requirements, and sanitation standards Maintain ongoing survey readiness at all times Lead, schedule, and supervise dietary staff; provide coaching and performance management as needed Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain cost control and quality Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment Collaborate with leadership and nursing to support resident needs and satisfaction Ensure consistency in meal quality, service, and overall dining experience Qualifications Experience in healthcare, assisted living, or institutional food service preferred Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in a healthcare or residential setting Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop staff Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities Culinary experience or training preferred ServSafe Certification required (or ability to obtain within 30-60 days of hire) Strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to serving others What We're Looking For Someone who leads by example Takes ownership of compliance and department performance Maintains professionalism under pressure Values teamwork, respect, and consistency Understands that dining is a key part of our residents' quality of life Position Details Full-time Competitive salary based on experience Benefits available Join our team and help create a dining experience that truly feels like home—while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
