Job Description

Join our excellent team of professionals to help meet the nutritional needs of the people we serve. St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH, is a 51-bed skilled nursing facility offering short and long-term care in a warm, supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. We are looking for a Full Time Food Services Director who would be responsible for ensuring that the nutritional services provided to each resident are met and maintained on an individual basis. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Earn additional pay of $2400 per year, if you are enrolled in another employer-sponsored health insurance plan Critical illness, accident, long-term disability, legal plan and pet insurance available Company-paid short-term disability and life insurance Flexible Spending Account 401K Plan, with 3% automatic employer contribution (after 1 year of employment) Job Responsibilities; Assume administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the Culinary Services department Determine departmental staffing requirements necessary to meet the needs of the residents Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents and process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services Meet with dietary personnel, on a regularly scheduled basis, concerning the operation of the department Exercise creativity in developing a menu; bringing an elevated dining experience to our residents Recommend equipment needs of the department and place orders for food, equipment and supplies, as necessary Make periodic rounds to check equipment and to assure that all necessary equipment is available and working properly Participate in inspections made by authorized government agencies; and review and assist in developing a plan of correction for departmental deficiencies if necessary Requirements; Must meet one (1) of the following CMS-compliant qualifications:
CDM/CFPP
certification issued by the Credentialing Commission for Dietetic Managers (CBDM). Associate's degree or higher in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Two (2)+ years of Food Service Director experience in an LTC/SNF setting and completion of an approved food safety and management course (ServSafe equivalent). ServSafe Food Manager Certification required. Two (2)+ years of dietary or food service management experience in a healthcare, LTC, or SNF setting preferred. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, dietary regulations, budgeting, inventory management, and therapeutic diets. Strong leadership, communication, and staff management skills. IFSEA Certified Food Manager (CFM) certification may be considered with relevant healthcare food service management experience; All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin, marital or familial status, age or mental or physical handicap.
