Role:
The Shift Supervisor embodies our core values, embraces the Dos Mas culture, and is enthusiastic about excellent hospitality. Our Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping associates (team members) accountable for each component of their daily tasks and responsibilities. Our Shift Supervisor's three main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, coaching and developing associates, and being a customer champion. Our Shift Supervisors lead by example and set the tone that others will follow. This is not a desk job. You lead from the floor.

Responsibilities:
Operations & Guest Experience Own the daily operation of the store in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant, including opening and/or closing. Handle POS transactions accurately, using Square POS systems. Support food preparation as needed and ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and Halal compliance standards without exception. Offer prompt and respectful response to guest needs, ensuring each guest leaves with a great experience. Monitor food quality, ticket times, and station performance throughout each shift. Team Leadership & Scheduling Lead training of new hires, energize the team before a shift, and act as a role model for the team. Coordinate with the Kitchen Manager for BOH training. Build and manage weekly schedules that balance associate availability with labor cost targets. Be a friendly, encouraging team player that delivers coaching as needed. Identify high-potential Associates and actively develop them for advancement. Inventory & Financial Management Apply FIFO protocols and minimize waste through disciplined prep and rotation practices. Work closely with the Managing Director to monitor labor and food cost performance against targets; escalate variances to the Managing Director. Ensure accurate cash handling and POS reconciliation at every shift close. Compliance & Standards Maintain full compliance with all applicable health, safety, and labor laws. Ensure Halal certifications are current, displayed, and upheld across all sourcing and handling. Document and administer the progressive discipline process fairly and consistently. Report any facility, equipment, or safety issues to the Managing Director promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a restaurant supervisory or management role; QSR or fast casual preferred. Smiling and creating a welcoming and hospitable environment. Create connections with guests, and make the team and guests feel welcomed. Reliable transportation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong people skills with a desire to coach team members. Strong commitment to superior customer service. Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility. A leader who earns respect through action, not just authority. Strong communicator — comfortable giving direct feedback and having hard conversations.
Operationally sharp:
you understand labor costs, food costs, and what drives them. Familiarity with Halal standards is a plus; a genuine commitment to learning and upholding them is required. Food Manager's Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
